My apologies that I was not in attendance at the meeting last night.
We have been experiencing some extraordinary things in the Parish Council causing the meetings to run well over the allotted hour.
This should even out in the near future and we can move our Assembly forward!
Here is my Report of the 4 th Degree Honor Guard/Color Guard 11/16/16
September 25th @ Holy Cross, Durham – Honor Guard for Filipino Mass honoring St. Lorenzo. With Bishop
Burbidge. The mass is on September 25th at 1PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Durham.
September 30th @NC State Fairgrounds – Color Guard-Supporting NC Special Olympics at the opening ceremony of the Equestrian Ceremonies on
Friday September 30th at the Hunt Horse Complex in Raleigh. The ceremony will start at 7p.
October 9th @ Bright Funeral Home – Funeral Home Honor Guard for brother Dick Barton from the St Francis assembly.
October 10th @ St Catherine of Siena – Funeral Mass Honor Guard for brother Dick Barton from the St Francis assembly.
October 29th @Our Lady of the Rosary, Louisburg – Funeral reception and Mass for brother Bruce Willis who was a Member of the Henderson Assembly,
Father in Law of brother Ernest Eason, Father to Korri Eason.
Upcoming Events!
November 19th@St Patrick’s, Fayetteville – 4th Degree Exemplification at 12:00 noon. Always need honor guard to escort candidates into and out of the chamber. No mass following the ceremony so your service would be completed by approximately 3pm.
November 20th @St Catherine of Siena – Worthy Grand Knight Juan has requested an Honor Guard in Regalia for the Council’s Annual Memorial Mass next Sunday at the 8:00AM mass. All who plan to attend either in Tux or in Regalia. We should arrive no later than 7:30 so that there is time to dress and line up for the procession into Mass.
November 24th@St Catherine of Siena – Thanksgiving Day 9am mass will also be the Anniversary Mass for the Opening of our Church Building. An Honor Guard has been requested by Msgr. Brockman for this mass. Please be there by 8:30AM!
November 29th @St Michael the Archangel, Cary – Bishop Burbidge’s last public Mass on Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM, November 29th at St Michael’s Church in Cary. I have been informed that there is a limited number of Knights that are to be allowed for the Honor Guard. That quota has been filled so no other Knights in regalia will be needed. You are encouraged to attend in tux and social baldric if you so desire.
Please let me know if you have any questions on any of these dates or events. We have two events IN OUR OWN CHURCH, so I would hope that participation would be great!
