With heavy heart I pass along this sad news from our State Secretary John Nussbaum and our FN Mike. Anne, beloved wife of our PSD, FDM and brother David Onofrio sadly passed away unexpectedly yesterday.

Funeral arrangements are linked below. Please attend to pay respects if you are able. David and Anne have given so much support not just to our Assembly, but to our Order. Let us now show that they have ours.

Please keep them all in your intentions.

Vivat Jesus!

Worthy Grand Knight Juan Vazquez has requested the presence of an Honor Guard supporting Council 11234 at St Catherine of Siena.

On Divine Mercy Sunday, April 23rd, 2017, at the 8am mass, the council will be fulfilling a section of their bylaws by receiving the Holy Eucharist as a body during Easter Time. The Honor Guard will lead the procession into mass, with the membership of the Council right behind. Honor Guard will also lead the procession out after mass.

On this occasion we encourage not only those who have regalia to participate, but also for anyone who does not have regalia to don their Tuxedos for the procession.
This is always a powerful, and visible display of the Unity and Fraternity of our order, and also the solidarity of both our Council and Assembly with our Parish family.

I know it’s the early mass, but please make every effort to support this event.

Remember Padre Leon has requested an Honor guard this weekend!

Here is the schedule of events for the Silver Rose ceremonies this weekend, March 25th, at St Bernadette’s in Butner.

1. Sunday morning march 26th at the 9 am Mass the rose will be on the Shrine and people can Venerate the Rose. This Mass will be for Peace and Unity
2. After the 9 am Mass there will be a reception(Potluck) on the deck. About 11:15 the Knights will take the Rose to The Butner Athletic Park which is on 1105 W B St .
3. At 11:20 am the Honor Guard and the Knights along with Parishioners will march sing and dance from Butner Athletic Park up West B Street left onto 8th Street right onto West C Street left onto 9th Street and right onto West D Street and the church is on the left.
4. Once at St Bernadette’s the Silver Rose will be placed back on a Shrine near the Altar to be Venerated by the noon Mass. This Mass will pray for Respect.
5. Monday Ed Schofield will take the Rose to meet the next group to receive the Rose in Hillsborough NC.

Sadly we could not get enough response to provide an honor guard for this event, so we will not commit attendance. Instead I will ask Grand Knight SK-Juan Vazquez to blast the membership of Council 11234 to solicit members to participate in council shirts to represent the Knights. Msgr Brockman did advise me that the actual arrival time of the statue is 7:30 AM and the Mass is scheduled for 8:30 AM.

We have had a request for an Honor Guard at a ceremony to greet and receive the touring International Pilgrim Virgin Statue at St Catherine of Siena. See below for the details. I need to have RSVP’s to make sure that we have Sir Knights that can be there. FN Mike and I are both unavailable that morning, but we would like have 4 SK’s attend in Regalia.

WORLD APOSTOLATE OF FATIMA’S CENTENNIAL U.S. TOUR The historic tour, marking the 100th Anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, will feature the world-famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue, traveling worldwide for nearly 70 years. St. Catherine of Siena is hosting the tour on March 9, 2017 at 8:30 AM. It will be an extraordinary occasion of healing, hope and grace. Please join us that day to hear the story of Fatima and venerate this beautiful statue that set out from Fatima in 1947 to bring the graces of Fatima to all who might not ever be able to make a pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal. We bring the pilgrimage to you! Hundreds and favors and graces, including cures, and countless conversions are associated with the image. The presence of this special Statue (sculpted by Jose Thedim in 1947, based on Sr. Lucia’s description of her encounters with Our Lady) is a great gift to our community..
